Sunday Goal Setting: Week 19
Last week goal setting involved me posting my goals for January 2009. I also mentioned that I will be doing that at the beginning of each month. I have been having these thoughts that I need to get specific, plan, have my intentions laid out. Good thoughts that have stuck with me.
Recap of January 2009 Goals
1) Earn $1,000 flipping websites
2) Generate between 30 to 50 visitors on my real estate investing site
3) 30 New Email subscribers to FreddieTaylor.com
4) Create store for HempExposed.com
5) Create 3 New Niche sites
Well, I was out surfing the blogosphere and saw that Suite J and Normal Joe have been having the same thoughts. In fact, they did these great post on the subjects that you should check out, just click their names. But they let me know that I am on the right track and just need to keep it moving in my positive direction.
Last Week
The past week went by fast. I was on top of it and am fired up. I completed all of my goals from last week. If you want to see what they were you can check them out here. In fact, it was so good that I got a few other things completed as well that would have been on this coming up week.
Specifically, I was able to purchase 6 domain names. Five of them are for flipping and 1 for my niche sites. I converted a domain that I was going to flip on to a niche site, but still have 7 sites to flip, not including the one up for auction now. EasyOrganicHealth.com
All three of my niche sites are active and live. Two of them have one post each, the other doesn’t have anything yet. I am getting my product together that I will sell with that site. It will have an affiliate program if you are interested, but stay tuned. Overall, a good week.
This Week
This coming week has to be better than the last. The time is now to turn the volume up and keep working, working, working all day and night. We got keep pushing. Therefore, here are my goals for the coming week. The goals are getting detailed and longer, so I created topics or sections for them.
1) Site Flipping Goals – Things are going well with my flipping. I have a pretty good system running. The goal of $1,000 is reachable. One site is on the market now, EasyOrganicHealth.com Here’s to hoping the bidding goes up. Been for over a day now and it the bidding is at $75. I would like to make at least $200, but we will see. One thing I like about flipping sites, the market will tell you what it is worth. Then again, there is some timing elements to it as well.
a – Write 10 articles – We got to keep cranking out the sites, so they have to have some articles. I am only doing 5 articles per flip site. I know most people say 10, but mine have been selling fine with 5 articles, so why fix it if it ain’t broken.
b – Load 4 sites – This means that I will start up four sites to be flipped. The loading will included setting up domain, loading wordpress, the theme, plugins, establishing categories, and the ads. This is phase one of my flipping process. I try to keep them in groups and just work to knock it out section by section. Working so far.
c – Get Product/Affiliates – These upcoming site flips will all need products to go along with them. There is some research involved. This is a necessary part of the business.
d – Post 2 sites for sale – You see that the goal is to sell between 5 and 7 sites. This means we got to start getting them to the market. Last week, I was able to finish another site that just needs articles. And the other site has an issue with the theme. Not sure if I need to reload or what, but I will figure it out. This site has 5 articles already written.
2) Invest With Passion Site - This is a real estate investment website that I own. It is the subject of my Internet Marketing Experiment #2, but we haven’t gotten all the way into this one yet. It is coming. My goals this week for it is to keep the traffic moving in the direction it is. I can attribute this to nothing but getting back on a regular posting schedule. Here are these goals for the week.
a – Post schedule through February 2009 – I have enough post written and collected to last through the summer, but need to post them. That is what I will be doing here. Three post per week is the schedule. The Friday’s post is typically a video and I have to find or upload them myself. I will make it happen, but if I get the post running through February I can focus on growing the website and business.
b – Header/Logo/Adsense – I want to rework the header so the logo is updated and there is an adsense image to the right of the logo. Getting excited about this project again and it feels good. Invest With Passion is my baby and been with me for a while. Time to do right by it and make it happen. If you are interested or know someone that may be interested in real estate investing, please refer them to this site Invest With Passion .
c – Replace Side Bar Adsense – I was messing with different options and left that one for a while. It seems to be slowing down clicks, perhaps confusing the readers of the site. Not sure at the moment, but I will tweak to try and solve this minor issue. I am thinking of an image in the side bar as well.
3) HempExposed.com - This is a site that didn’t sell at auction on sitepoint a few weeks back. Since then, I have been contacted by two people with interest in the site. I am not selling at the moment and want to try something with this site. I want to build a store, so I am. These goals are going to get me closer to testing their effectiveness.
a – Develop Side Bar Ads
b – List store categories down the side.
4) Niche Sites - My goal for this week is to get my products together for my niche affiliate/product sales site. I just want to focus on getting that right. I know that when I get ahead of schedule or need a change of pace, I can write an article for one of these sites or tweak their layout. There is always something to be done with these sites in this early stage of development. It is coming.

@ Allen – Thanks! Good to hear that I made your RSS reader. Now, let’s network and make some money.
@ Ben – That 30 subscription goal is for the month, not per week. I wish I was getting 30 subs a week. LOL! Give me a few months and maybe that will be the goal. Thanks for stopping by.

@ Melvin – Thanks! Yes it is good to be busy. I have not been busy and let me tell you it sucks. Plus, you tend not to make any money when your not busy. That is not the idea, right?
@ Nota – Glad to hear that you are back. Let’s get busy! Yeah, I had emailed for some insight, but just went ahead and ran with it. January 2009 is my month that I lay down a solid foundation to dominate for the year. It is happening.
Looking forward to see what you got planned for the year. You are back from vacation, fresh and ready to take over the world. I am with you.
And for chess, maybe you should change that year goal of beating me. I am getting pretty good as of late.

@ Ben – Thanks Froggy! I appreciate that. You are right. There is usually something that comes up here and there.

No sweat, I will push through it and make it happen. This is a critical week. Let’s keep it moving!

Sounds like a great plan baby!
My goal for Jan is $2500 from flipping, and $500 from a report I’m writing to sell on the forums in a week or so.
I really dig that hemp site man, and I would keep it if I were you. I’ve yet to have a site that didn’t sell the first time – except for one. and I’ve managed to sell every site at BIN, so I’ve been lucky thus far.
But I think from now on if something doesn’t sell, I’m going to keep it and make money for myself.
To me the benefit will be huge if I do this..
