Quote: Genius and What’s On Your Mind
“Genius is the ability to put into effect what is on your mind.”
F. Scott Fitzgerald
This quote is short, simple, ans straight to the point. If you have the gall to not only take control of your mind and think, but to actually put those thoughts into action, then you have the opportunity to create genius. Yes, this is a true statement I don’t care how many people dispute it. I believe everyone is capable of genius.
Here is the catch. Most people don’t act on anything, let alone something that would so outside the norm that if they were able to pull it off that it would be labeled genius. Face it, most people are too afraid of what the next person is thinking about them to allow themselves to fully actualize themselves.
It is really a shame because at the end of the day, the world is cheated out of the opportunity to meet and be influenced by this person at their best. Again, this is a true statement. When someone is able to reach down into themselves and pull out the very best, the world, the community, the neighborhood, and the family benefits. Like it or not, we are all in this world together and we need each other to be their very best, while pulling our own weight.
But again, the sad reality is that most people are too afraid of what others think. You cannot think like this. This line of thinking is not for you. Let the rest of the world belittle their abilities, but not you. Let the rest of the world doubt their talents and skills, but not you. Let the rest of the world live the life of wondering how things would have turned out if they would have just hung in there, but not you.
You live the life of no regrets, honor, and pride. You live the life of accomplishment, action, and achievement. As those thoughts come to your mind, map them out, go to work on them. Don’t allow them to be idle thoughts on a warm summers night. Let them be like Boeing 747 airplanes delivering the life that you dream, the life you deserve. But this is not going to happen passively. You cannot wait around and depend on luck or someone else. You have to do it yourself.
You have to act on what is on your mind. Have the audacity to believe you can achieve the things you think and dream about in your mind. Have the courage and the guts to go for it. Have the perseverance to stick with it. For once you begin down this path you cannot ever abandon it. And as long as you are in pursuit, there is a chance that your genius will shine through.

Man, I’m a living example of what taking action can do for your career online.
In the span of 5 months, I’ve went from lurking around the internet, a bunch of unfinished websites, and no idea what I was doing to making a solid income, with a successful blog and a massive network of future all stars to support and motivate each other!
It’s all because I stopped being afraid, took risk, and took action.
Plain and simple.

@ Nota – “Our Deepest Fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.” – This is from a poem that Maryanne Williamson did in 1955 and I think it is so powerful.
But, that is my deepest fear. That I am powerful beyond measure and don’t put put that talent, power, and reach to great use!
