Monday’s Motivational Moment: Bridge Builder
Greetings Blog Family,
Let’s get the week crackin! First off, my apologizes for getting this blog posted a day late. No excuses, I will just have to get it done in a timely manner. Nothing worst than promising something and not delivering. Fortunately, I have such an understanding Blog Family.
Today, I am giving you another one of my favorite poems, “Bridge Builder”. At the moment, I cannot remember the authors name for anything. I will find it and update later, but know that I really enjoy this poem.
Remember why you went into business in the first place, well beyond the money, the cash, the dough. I get it. You wanted to make some money. Yes!
But ask yourself this question, how do you make money?
You make money by satisfying the needs of others. You make them happy, give them what they want, and they will give you what you want….money! You have to be a bridge builder and take these individuals from their current state and move them to where they desire to be. If you can do this, they will gladly give you all the money you can handle.
So, here’s to you bridge builder!
Go get’em!

Yeah Joe,
It is important to remember that as business owners we make money by giving people what they need to be successful. We are bridge builders in that we allow the people to get what they need. No matter if that is some new shoes or an Internet product that will take their blog to the next level, even if they buy a blog from you with the site flipping crazy that is going on.
I am going to stick with it and focus on having fun! Eventually, I will make some money…one day with this blog, but getting into the regular blogging habit is the focus right now.

That’s a good one, buddy. Marketing is all about giving the right value to the right people at the right time with the right price. I’m loving the term “bridge builder” or shall we say, we are “the bridge”…?

Yeah Yan, I love that poem. It is so on point!
You are right, marketing is all about value to the right people. If you can master making people happy, they will be happy to give you money.
It’s amazing how business can work!

It’s true yet many are selling what they want to sell and NOT what people want to buy…
You do read a lot of books, do you? What is one single book that has the most significant impact on you? you know, that shapes the way you think of or look at life?

Wow! That is a tough question. I will have to say the one book that has made the most profound impact on me was, “Think & Grow Rich” – Napoleon Hill.
I promise one day I will give my review of this book. But I read it in college and have not been able to get that book out of my head, nor do I want to.
How about yourself, what’s your book?
(Think you may have given me my next post, LOL!)

@ Yan – A more practical book would be the E-Myth by Michael Gerber. I loved it call it an MBA in a book. Simply outstanding!
I must do a review for this one as well one day.

No joke! It’s the same book I’ve read a couple of times over and over again and the one book that has taught me years ago on the power of subconscious mind.
Here’s my favorite

Yan, You are getting me fired up over here. You better stop it!
LOL! Yeah man, that quote is outstanding. After I began reading that book, my roommate thought I went nuts. I had index cards taped all over my closet in my room. I had pictures on the wall of my goals.
Come to think of it, I better get back into that frame of mind now and get hot towards making it happen!

Sigh – As a relative beginner to photographry I frequently feel awed by the amount I need to learn. However, the more posts like this i read, the better a photographer i become. Thanks for helping me move on a bit.

Harry,
Glad you enjoyed it and I was able to move you a little bit in the right direction. Keep at it and remember if it was easy, then everyone would do it. Follow your passion of photography and give maximum effort. It will pay off for you!
