Greetings Blog Family,

I thought I would get at you with another video post today. I know it’s not Monday, but my man Jay over at SuiteJ.com encouraged me to do more videos, so here we go. Thanks Jay for the push. I really like doing videos and speaking. I am sure it will get better over time.

Anyway, leverage is the conversation for the day. It is very important to our businesses, both online and offline. Over the past few weeks as I have ramped up my efforts to move my income full time to the Internet, I have realized more and more the importance of leverage in your business.

What is leverage according to Freddie Taylor?

Leverage is getting more with less

How would you define it? Getting more with less seems to sum it all up to me. Getting more business, referrals, subscribers, sales, profit, branding, marketing, reach. Getting more wit less, less effort, energy, concentration, effort, money, time, and cost. That is the idea behind leverage.

In the video, I hit you with two examples of how leverage is used.

The first example is with Henry Ford, the great auto maker. The second is an Internet example, StomperNet.

Henry Ford

Henry Ford utilized leverage in a variety of ways, but way that I point out is his use of people that were smarter then he. Or, I should say, people that had specialized knowledge that in a particular area that he needed some information. Ford was a brilliant man, but straight forward and simple. Because of this many people didn’t think he was an intellectual and challenged him and his intelligence. Check the video out for more on this, but it is a solid example.

StomperNet

StomperNet implored leverage with their use of Affiliate marketers to push their product. They recently launched their product and saturated the Interenet and search engines. It was/is a pretty impressive launch of a product and excellent use of leverage in their business. Again, check the video for more.

How can you use Leverage in your business?

1) Hire or Outsource work

2) Network

3) Resources

Yeah dude! I told you I was feeling this stuff man, you need to keep it up! I love it man, and it’s so true. It’s all about leverage. Leveraging knowledge, resources, time, everything!

Outsourcing is something I haven’t gotten into yet, but I know it’s needed at some point. Well, I have outsourced a few things. Graphic, getting banners made, stuff like that.

Also, getting resources like you said, is a form of leverage. You’re leveraging the knowledge, time, expertise, and work of the developer, so you can simply take it and plug it into your business.

Keep it up Freddie, I love your method.

    @ Joe
Thanks for the support and glad you are feeling my work. I am enjoying it a lot. You have to get to outsourcing work, it will make you more productive. I am not utilizing it as best I should, but making progress. It is going to come.

There is a lot to learn and do out here in this business, but Joe you are on the right path.

Leveraging outsourcing is just another thing we all have at our disposal — suspending the ego is often the first step — admit that everything is not your strong suit, and pay someone else to do what is maybe their strong suit. Then you can focus on what you do best and nine times out of ten, you end up better in the end.

@ Portland Roofer – You hit the nail on the head. Why not let people that are better than you help you in your business and pay them for it. That is what making the economy is all about and bringing success to your business as well.

I am a big fan of outsourcing and leveraging….just need to implement it more in my business. I just started with some outsourcing in my website flipping ventures and it is working out awesomely. I suck at design and my friend that is doing it is AWESOME!!! You be familiar with Adam from Creadiv.com, he is the man!

    Thanks for the comment!
