Goal Setting Sunday: Week 12

Greetings Blog Family,

Another week has come and gone here at FreddieTaylor.com. It was a crazy week as I had a lot on my mind, but was able to handle business. I was able to get the majority of my goals done, but naturally had to make some tough decisions on completing a goal or doing something else that may be more profitable in the long run.

Getting to the point, let’s discuss last week for a moment. I was able to write out my guest post, but did not gather and create the chart I want to make for it, so I will finish that this week. You will not see that on my goals, but it will be completed. The workouts went fine. I worked out 3 days last week with one day being cut short because I failed to eat breakfast. You must take care of the body if you expect it to perform and that day I didn’t do my part, but learned my lesson for sure.

As for my site flip last week, it didn’t happen. EasyComposting was listed and the sale should finalize tonight, but I didn’t start my next flip. It is about 75% finished, but not completed. I just didn’t push through with it and will make that this weeks project. I got wrapped up in my niche projects and ran with that. Brilliant Jeni of BrilliantJeni.com announced that she officially went over the 6 figure mark from blogging with niche sites, so  that complete distracted me with good reason. Congrats again, Jeni, and yes I will be calling for some help in the matter of days!!! LOL!

Experiment #2 was launched successfully and should get really interesting this week as we delve a little further. I was able to begin posting on the site, so we will focus on generating more traffic to it as well. The research a new niche site went better than expected as Jeni made that announcement, I chose a niche, did some research, and launched the site immediately. It seems like it is going to be a very profitable niche according to Google Keyword Tool and the CPC payments associated. I worked on that site for a while this week.

This Week

1) Post New Flip for Sale - I am pushing forward with my goal to flip websites. I have learned a tremendous amount of information this thus far and plan on continuing that effort this week. The next site is almost complete, so I will be finalizing that. The focus of this flip will be speed, but with an emphasis on property picture selection to accompany the articles and the sales copy for SitePoint.

I have learned that the first impression is made by the site layout, logo, and pictures. I don’t take my time with the picture selection and this is usually one of the elements that is rushed on my end and I want to change that…thus, I will.

2) Workout 3 Days this week – Got to keep the body healthy and what better way to do that than to encourage my Blog Family to do the same, while holding me accountable to great health. Deep down, I love working out and need to exploit that a little more. Last week was good, but I need to pick it up!

3) Develop Niche Site – The niche site is started and I ordered 10 articles from and decent source. We will see what the articles look like as I should have them by Tuesday, but I want to ensure that I am running with my link building and getting the site indexed into Google so it can do what it is suppose to. The site is based around the Adsense montenization model.

4) Finalize IME #1 ebook & Prep for next week launch - Ok, the first Internet Marketing Experiment has run it course and now is the time to see the finally product. Editing has taken a little long than expected as my wife has been very business. Nevertheless, this is the final week and I am pushing the product out ready or not! It is time to get it done, so we can move on to our next project and continue on our quest to raise the bar.

5) Generate 3 More Guest Post opportunities - Guest post are a great way to create exposure for your blog and your business. This is something that I really want to push in my business marketing plan, thus, I am going to spend this week further networking with bloggers and creating opportunities to reach out to them and their audiences.

Here’s to a great week at my blog and yours as well. Remember all things are possible when you are focused and dedicated to making them happen. Set your goals and reach for the stars!

Good luck with the site flipping !

Writing down goals is one of the best ways how to complete them. If you’ll just keep them in the head, you can forget them, or whatever. But if it’s written down, then it’s important, and should complete the goals.

Anyway, good luck with it !

I think when it comes to writing down you goals, too do list or whatever you need to be done is written down. I tend to forget the simplest little thing that I was suppose to do that day.

@ TheMoneyAC – Thanks for the well wishes. The site flip ended late last night and sold for $200, so that is cool. On to the next one! LOL

Keeping goals in your head is never a good idea because as a creative person, you already have too much floating through your mind all day anyway. Write them down, keep them in front of you, and complete them!

@ Bruno – You, MoneyAC, and everyone has that problem of forgetting. You must write these things down. After a few weeks of accomplishment, it will become habit and you will thank yourself!

@ Nota – Thanks for the invite to guest post and I will take you up on it one of these days. As for the comments, I thought I was on top of them, but I am going to go back and check to see what I missed. Thanks for the heads up. Got a feeling it has something to do with the 25 Blogger Motivations.

    Freddie,

Each week I keep seeing incomplete goals, this is distressing to me as I have to keep returning to Skype and kicking your ass!

Luckily you did quite well on your site flip in the end, so I’m going to let is slide this time, and this time only..
