Goal Setting Sunday: Week 10
Let’s get down to business. We have a pivotal week ahead of us. Last week was another solid week. I feel I learned some very interesting lessons that I am sure I will be sharing with you at a later date.
This past week was exciting because I had some BOLD ACTION of posting another website for sale. MyVegetarianLifeStyle.com is on the block to be sold. If you are interested, you can follow the auction or bid here. The current bid is $100 and auction has four days left.
I followed up with the Contributing Bloggers of the IME #1 – Creating an eBook with Help. I have the majority of the articles with the rest on the way…including my articles. The eCover design is coming along. I expect to have all pieces together by Friday of this week. After polishing the product with aim of branding, it should be ready to release by the end of next week or the following week. I must speak with my editor (the wife) and see what her schedule is looking like. I will keep you posted.
IM Experiment #2 has been shelved for now. I want to introduce a different idea first. I did not do my keyword niche research. And I did complete one of the guest post from last week for LinkersBlog.com, a link building resource, and Danny Cooper. The second one will be done this week.
This Weeks Goals
1) Post Site Flip in 3 Days – My goal is to start flipping one website a week. Last week was the start of this goal. This week, I am following up on it. I won’t share the niche for now, but I have chosen and purchased the domain name already. I know what theme I am going to use…and that is it. I will keep you posted.
2) Write Guest Post – Last week, I didn’t write both guest post, so it is back my goals list. This one is for a good friend of mine and a great blogger, Adam – Creadiv.com. Check him out and you should see my post there soon.
3) Prep the New IM Experiment #2 – This experiment is going to center around a niche site I own and have neglected the past month and a half. But now is the time to get back to it and start generating some action. I am going to load the new theme and begin to tweak and work it out.
4) Wrap Up eBook and Prep for Launch – My goal is get everything together and begin the editing process which should take about week or two. My wife is doing the editing….and she doesn’t know it yet. LOL! I am terrible right. But I expect to release the book the week of the 24th.
Are you setting goals each week?
Blog Family, we have been through 10 weeks of planning together. Are any of you setting weekly goals? If so, let us know how you are doing. If not, why not? What is really holding you back?
I think we all can agree that it is a good process to go through at the beginning of the week. It is even more rewarding when you can check them all off at the end of the week. Task completion is a critical skill that we all must acquire. Knowing what you want to accomplish each week helps in that aim.
First in the Mind, Then in Reality!

Hi Freddie,
I am embarrassed to admit that I haven’t been planning as I should, the only plan I have is a vague informal mockup inside my head. I promise once I sort a few thing out I will start planning!

I plan on planning this month.
Thanks for the love as always Freddie and I can’t wait to see what you have in store for me.

@ Danny – Don’t be embarrassed. Planning is a long process that is never done, so just get to work on it. I have been developing my plan since I started this section and we are 10 weeks into it and the plan still isn’t done. LOL! The problem is I keep learning stuff and finding out that my previous plan was incomplete or off course.
@ Adam – LOL @ plan on planning. Well, I guess that is a start, right? Build on that success. As for the guest post, I am excited to do it…but really need to just finish it because I keep wanting to change my subject matter. It should be interesting. At least, that is my goal.

I love how you set goals Freddie. It’s always clear how your week will even like even if I imagine sometimes your plan might go into a different direction for specific reasons.
I’m half-guilty of not setting goals. I have stuff I want to do and I try to do them, but I don’t write them down. I think writing them down makes things so much clearer…Anyway works fine now but I really could do better in term of goal settings.
The reason I think most people don’t set goal is because of the risk of failure. It’s never a nice feeling to set goals and not achieve them so I think most people go with something like: “I don’t want to put too much pressure on myself and feel like I HAVE to do this and this…If I have time, I’ll do it.”
Again, I’m half-guilty
Keep up the good work, I like how you put them down and I think it motivates you to achieve them, because you don’t want post next week and say you failed…!

I’ve actually cut down on setting – and I keep forgetting to do so. My whiteboard is getting lonely!
Congrats on getting the site up, looks great! – I did set a goal of cutting down the time for my site flips and I can complete a site of “standard” in roughly 10-15 hours, I’d like to take that down to 8-10 hours so I can literally develop a site in a single working day and sell it off for $300+ providing i do my research right.
I’d also like to do some guest posts as well and that’s definitely something I’d like to implement in the new year.
I’m also going to be writing an ebook – tisk tisk.

@ Ben – I heard it said that writing things down on paper allows you to think objectively about them. It creates space and separation between you what is written. The space allows for action to take place. Get it done.
As for ones fear of failure after writing the goals down, these people just have to get over it. Nothing is going to be perfect and neither is your weekly goal setting, daily or monthly for that matter.
I think I am going to start putting down some of my other weekly goals as well. I want this blog to be about balance as well. Picking up my desire to cook, so I might add some recipes I have been looking at. We will see.
@ Elijah – Don’t leave the white board along for too long, she might find another marker to fill the void. LOL
I the hour long goal so you can get it done in one day. You must be an article writing machine. I still have to get to the point where my sites sell for $300 more a pop. It is coming!
Get some guest post in, son! They are great for you and the blog you are posting on.
Will the ebook becalled “I AM THE PRESIDENT OF THE BLOGOSPHERE!”?
