Case Study: Newbie Site Flip Part 1 & Part 2
Site flipping is all the new rage in the parts of the blogosphere that I am hanging out. Site flipping is when you take an old or new site, fix it up, and sell it on the open market. Yes, it is very similar to real estate investing, but on the Internet.
Anyway, check out Ben’s case study on his first experience. He gives some very good and pracital advise for moving forward. I won’t ruing the ending by telling you if made money or not, nor how much he made if he made any at all. Check it out for yourself!
Slogan Contest
Sly, over at SlyVisions.com, had a pretty slick competition the other day. I am upset that I missed it, but thought it was pretty cool. Got and check it out.
The contest was for a new slogan for his website Sly Visions. He was changing directions from being a strickly Making Money Online to a broader focus of the Internet and entrepreneurs in general. Anyway, the contest was to see who could come up with the best slogan. The winner would get $10.
I thought this was a great way to get a new slogan and great way to create and run a contest. Good work, Sly! Keep the ideas coming. Your new direction is great.
Google’s Chrome is Available!….& More
According to my man Joe at ImWithJoe.com, the Google Chrome is available. I had been reading about Chrome all over the Internet as it is big news. Some reports talked bad about Chrome as though it isn’t all it is hyped up to be.
I’m with Joe, in that from my experience, it is not that bad. I downloaded a version after viewing in on Joe’s site to get a look and feel for it. It is Google, so you are going to be aware of Chrome wheather you like it or not. It is a Google product and will be well marketed. Nevertheless, check out Joe’s post and get a taste of a truly unique Internet Marketer.
Oh yeah, there is a lot more in that post, but Chrome information and dowload link is what really caught me.
What’s going on with me?
Well, I am going to switch the theme one more time. Everything is developing right now. I learned how to really work with uploading themes and plugins faster by leaving them zipped when putting them into your Cpanel. Saved me a gang of time. Um, yes, I said a GANG of time. You would just have to try it to know what I mean.
Anyway, I know I can zip through a few looks to get exactly what I want. Now that I know i am go ing to be doing video, I need a different site. One that is less heavy and focuses more in images and video.
Let’s get busy!

Thanks for doing what you are doing, Joe! You are really encouraging me to go for it. Plus, I am seriously learning a lot. I got to tear into that Holly book immediately. My printer is down now, but I am going to Office Max and print it from my zip drive. Got to get that book in me and get going.

The site is definitely coming along well. All I can say – as I did – was absorb as much as you can, and ask questions. I’m still learning WordPress and I’ve been using it for 3 months..
We switched the theme quite a few times in the first couple of weeks before we settled with what we have now. It’s a growing process for sure!

Yeah, I am still getting use to wordpress. Have learned a lot and still learning, but that is the type of person I am anyway…love to learn!
I am feeling good about this theme, but I did also about the last 14 I have been through. LOL!
