Another week has come and gone. This time it has found me ready for it and aiming for the stars. I am fired up. As you will see over the next few weeks I have some very special material planned for this blog and am very excited about it.

It dawned on my not long ago that I wanted to own a media empire and have the influence and reach that many of the power stations had. This realization made me began to look at this blog and my other ones a little bit differently. Blogs and the Internet has given ordinary people like myself without hundreds of billions of dollars the power and access to reach millions if we have the ability or chops to make it happen. Well, I am going to find out because I love to get in front of the camera and share what I know. The wild thing is that I know many other people that feel the same, so as little organization and effort can make all of this a reality.

Last Week Goals

1. Video Blog at FreddieTaylor.com – I was successful in getting back on the video wagon here at FreddieTaylor.com with the launch of my weekly series, Balance. That was a lot of fun and it is replacing my Monday Motivational Moments that was a feature on this site.

The reason I changed the name is because I wanted to motivate, but there are some other subjects I want to get into as well and Balance will allow me to do so. As entrepreneurs, we cannot be so one sided and focused on money and the bottom line, there is just way too much more to life than that. Balance is my effort to discuss many of these issues as well.

2. Study New Business - I was able to study my new business model and am very excited about it. There is a little bit more understanding to go, but I will have to learn that on the fly. Now is the time to get out and get it going, so I will.

3. Prepare for my Picking Comps presentation - This past weekend, my partners and I held a 3 day event called the Ultimate Foreclosure Workshop. You can view it at UltimateForeclosureWorkshop.com. It was a stunning success. We had 17 paid participants, so there was some margin made and most importantly, the participants were excited about the information they received and pleased with their purchase. In short, we delivered, which is what you want when you are taking people’s money. Our thought is to under promise and over deliver….that we did.

As for my presentation, I thought it could have went better, but not a bad job. Like most entrepreneurs, I am pretty critical of myself and always expect better. Next presentation, I will do better.

This Week

Now is the time to roar into the next week and get it crackin! Here are my major goals for the week.

1. Plan – It is official in my mind that this is my last year in the appraisal business. I have to cut the cord and get out now. The question is what exactly will I do in the future, so I want to lay out a detailed plan to ensure that I am making solid progress everyday. This may take a week or so as I have several projects in the works, but need to tie them together in a cohesive way to capitalize on their synergies.

2. Complete Landing Page – One of my new ventures requires that I complete a video for this landing page I am creating. This has to get done and the sooner the better. So, I will be all over that early in the week and hopefully able to make it happen.

3. Full Week @ FT.com – I want to follow up my last week with another solid week here on this site. You will see a few more post as I back away from appraisal business and get more into my online work. I am very excited, but like any transition there is always some anxiety…However, I am ready to strike!

Let’s go get’em!

Now is our time to shine. I have defined my week and plan on being all over it. Will you do the same? If you don’t make the goals public, that is cool. Write them on your board, look at them, intimidate them, and get them done!

First in the Mind, then in Reality!

Yes! It has been a while since I have actually done a blog post and it feels good to be back. The other week, I went on vacation to Tampa Bay, Florida for days of rest, relaxation, and great times.

The picture feature here is the view I woke up to every morning as I ventured out on the terrace to clear my head from the night before and get ready for the day ahead.

The reason this post took so long in the making is that I was waiting on the pictures from my friends that went on the trip with me. I had my camera, but managed to take no pictures during the trip, buy my friends did and they haven’t made the pictures available yet.

The House

I will try to give you a visual of the house, rather mansion, we rented for the trip. It was larger than most anything that I have seen. And as an appraiser, I have seen some wonderful homes, but this one was incredible. It rocks my world to think that people live like this everyday, but they do. Anyway, my favorite feature of this home was the double deck terrace that wrapped the sides and back of the home which led to the views in the picture. It was simply amazing. And every morning I began my day there on that terrace enjoying the sunshine, breeze, and happy feelings.

That break was much deserved and I had a wonderful time, but I am really excited to be back in the Command Center ready to build my Internet empire. Are you ready?

My Plans

While I was on vacation and during the past week, I have been pouring over my plans for the immediate future and they are exciting. I am so fired up to get into this week it doesn’t make sense. I have decided that I am going to build FreddieTaylor.com into the media outlet I have desired for so long. While on vacation, I realized that they Internet and the skills that I have been developing for the past few months have really given me all that I need to make my dreams a reality and now is the time to start creating them.

Therefore, you will see a few new features coming to FreddieTaylor.com starting this week. I don’t want to bore you with the details, but rather just jump in a get them started. This post was actually suppose to happen on Sunday, but we had a dinner party that ran a little longer than antipated and I had to too much wine. (Just keeping it real and telling you the truth, Blog Family.)

Anyway, it is on! Also, I have decided to be accountable for a few more goals on a weekly basis. I find that you keep me honest and if I share them with you, I will get them done more-so on a regular basis.

This Weeks Goals:

1. Video blogs at FreddieTaylor.com

I mentioned above my aspirations for FreddieTaylor.com, so this is the plan….to get started. Getting started consist of two more post this week. And I will leave it there. ((((clap clap)))) Let’s go get’em!

2. Study new business

I started a new business that helps small businesses reconnect with their communities. It is phenomenal and I will be talking about it soon, but I need to study the business to be able to present it concisely. The fact is right now I don’t fully understanding the business. This week it needs to change. Then I will review it for you.

3. Prepare Training on Picking Comps

I am part of af team of people that are producing The Ultimate Foreclosure Workshop and of my contributions is a presentation on How appraisers Pick Comps, which should be about an hour. I need to prepare and practice that presentation.

Let’s get it!

First in the Mind, then in Reality!

Greetings Blog Family,

Yes! I am finally getting around to being accountable for my actions of the last week. First off, I hope everything is good with you and yours. Let’s be sure to get into a profitable week ahead.

Why is the accountability report late?

That is a fair question and I will give you the truth. I was tired on Sunday. I know that sounds weak, but it is just the truth. I stayed up late with some friends and family on Saturday, lost an hour on the time adjustment, and sat at my son’s black belt test all day on Sunday. Yes, my big 9 year old is officially a black belt in Tae Kwon Doe.

He is the man, but that testing was all day long. Geeze! By the time we got home, the wife and I took a long nap, fed the little ones, played with them a little, and it was time for bed. Thus, I didn’t get my post up in time, so that is why I am here on Monday getting this done.

Last Week

Ok, last weeks goal was to write 50 articles and I completely sucked it up. Yes, I did not write 50 articles. In fact, I only completed 12 articles last week. And I know what your thinking, geeze Freddie, that really sucks. Well, maybe, but I still added 12 articles to my niche collection of sites and articles and am moving forward. The goal, however, was not met.

So, what happened?

To be honest, towards the early middle of the week I realized that I didn’t really want to write 50 articles, I wanted to work on another opportunity that came into my life over the weekend. At first glance, it didn’t look as juicy as it does now, so I didn’t work that into my plans, but as the week went on and I got to understand this opportunity I became overly excited about it and turned my focus there.

What is this opportunity?

Can’t tell you yet. I know, I am such a tease, right? It’s all good because I plan on doing a post/review about this so you can not only see it, but maybe even considered getting involved. Let me just say that I have never seen anything like this and think this is going to be huge as I got on the bandwagon quick. Look for a post on Tuesday or Wednesday about it.

This Week’s Goal: RELAXATION!

That is right. Relaxation is my goal. Why? Because I am going to Tampa, Florida on Thursday and will not return until Sunday. So, as you can imagine, my focus is already shot for the week as the vacation is here. This is going to be an awesome time. A group of 16 of my friends and I are headed to Tampa to enjoy our 10 year anniversary of being in our Fraternity, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Yes, for those of you that didn’t know, I am a frat boy. It is going to be an awesome time as I have not had a chance to hang out with all of my friends in a long time. Much deserved and much anticipated vacation.

So that is it for this week. It is important to remember to enjoy yourself from time to time. After all, if you don’t enjoy yourself, what is the point of working so hard. You have to take time to smell the roses and live life. That is my plan for the week.

What’s yours?

Greetings Blog Family,

It’s another Sunday and I am back with my accountability report. Last week, my main goal to complete was to spend some quality time with my boys and that is exactly what we did!

It was great! My wife was out of town until Thursday of last week, so the boys and I really kicked hanging out together into overdrive and I just loved every single minute of it. At heart, I am nothing but a big kid anyway, so we really get along and play well together.

I must add a parenting note here. It is good to be friendly with your children, but I am quick to let them know that this doesn’t get in the way of my duties as a parent. If they get out of line, I will discipline without hesitation….and they know that. So, love your children, play with them, enjoy life together, but please don’t neglect the discipline. It is essential to building character in them.

Bowling Fun with My Boys!

On Monday, the boys and I went bowling and had some big time fun. They have their own bowling balls that they love to carry and utilize during the game. It makes them feel very special and they just love the fact that I don’t have one and have to use the balls at the bowling alley. It was cool. They got a little frustrated with their games cause they didn’t break 100 points, but they had fun nevertheless. And yes, I did break 100, but not going to tell my score. Let’s just say that the people on the Pro Bowlers Association are not in jeopardy of losing their spot to me. We had a great time anyway and it was a great way to kick off the week.

Reading Every Night

We read a book every night of the week and they just loved it. This is something that my wife and I use to do all the time when they were younger and couldn’t read. I think this is one of the reasons that they both read so well today. We took the time and invested in them while they were really young and instilled a love for reading, knowledge, and education in them at a very early age. So, this was a great opportunity to get back to that and I did. We ready that “Junie B First Grader” book that my five year old loves so much. It was really fun and one night I almost didn’t read with them and the disappointment in their eyes was enough to drive that self-centeredness right out of me and got me to reading with them. I am glad they hit me with the puppy dog eyes because I needed that. This will carry over to this week and beyond I am sure.

Video & Board Games

We spent a lot of time playing video and board games because that is what children love to do, go figure right? Again, I am nothing but a developed kid, so I really enjoy playing as well. My nine year old, Jayel, really puts the beat down on me and I don’t like it one bit. What he doesn’t know though is that while they are at school, sometimes I am practicing to get my game together. This is how I became the dominate Wii bowling champion in the house. I would play everyday from like 10am to 11am until I got my curve together. Now, they don’t like to play me in Wii bowling anymore, but every now and again someone in the house is feeling feisty.

Lil’ Freddie’s Black History Month Celebration at School

Lil Freddie, the five year old, had a black history month celebration at school last Friday and it was AWESOME!!!!! His class of kindergartners stole the show. And yes, I am a bias parent speaking, but it is true. They were so cute, sung with so much energy and excitement. It was outstanding. My baby is usually shy, but he really came out of his shell. He got to stand next to his best friend, Malik, and they were doing their thing.

Unfortunately, I left the video camera and my regular camera, so I don’t have anything to share. Malik’s parents taped the show and is going to give us a DVD, so I will be able to show it later. It was awesome and I am so proud of the little guy.

Black Belt Test, Part 1

My nine year old had the first part of his black belt test last Saturday. He did an awesome job. It was the endurance and written exam day. I cannot believe the amount of work they had to do to complete this section of the test. It was crazy. The testing started at 2pm and wasn’t over until like 7pm. Crazy!

I must admit that we had a blast, the parents, watching the children go through all of that. But it got really inspiring as we clapped, cheered, yelled, encouraged, and jumped to help the little ones get through the various challenges. I have a few pictures from that event to share so you can see. He did a great job, but he was so tired by the end that he just collapsed in the car and slept the entire way home. He is earning his black belt and we are proud of him! (The second part of the test is the next Sunday, so wish him luck.)

Surprise Gifts!

Jayel, the nine year old, and Freddie, five years old, both did so well that my wife, Krystal, and I decided to swing by Game Stop to reward both of them with a new Wii video game. We had to wake them up in the car on way back from the Tae Kwon Doe testing to get them to select what game they wanted. They was so surprised and happy. It was awesome, but they deserved it and did a wonderful job.

This Weeks Goal: 50 articles!

This weeks goal isn’t going to be as special as last weeks goal, but it is necessary. I must generate a residual income that is going to sustain me through the development of my niche sites, so I am back to work. I get asked a lot, “Why don’t you outsource your article writing?”

Trust me, I would love to outsource my article writing, but you actually need to be making enough money each month to do just that. Otherwise, I am pouring money out and getting nothing back. That isn’t the idea here. My plan is to get the revenue going myself, then from there I will begin to outsource like I am doing with some of my flipping efforts.

Thus, I am back to writing a large bulk of articles. My real estate site is set because I have Associate Writers pumping out content there and that is great. Currently, articles are scheduled to post a few times a week all the way through June of 2009, so that is awesome! I don’t have to worry about that site for the moment, but the writers are still creating content. By July of this year, I would like to have enough content for the rest of the year. That is a more long term goal and I think I will be able to pull it off.

I am launching a new niche site that is in an area that I am not terribly familiar with, but the opportunity is tremendous, so I have to go for it. I am a little nervous about this goal because usually when I decide to write 50 articles in a week I would have wrote about 10 on Sunday and I haven’t written any yet today. And on top of that, I am going to visit with a friend, so not likely that I will be writing later.

Nevertheless, I set the goal so I MUST rise to the occation. 50 articles or bust!

Who is with me?

First in the Mind, then in Reality!

Greetings Blog Family,

I am coming back at you on another Sunday. The 25th straight Sunday in a row that I am reporting my accountability to you. It has been bumpy road being honest with my performance, but I believe it is for the best. It is my hope that my brutal honesty with my progress is encouraging you to find someone to reach out to and hold you accountable for the success and dreams that you desire. I believe everyone deserves so much.

Last Week’s Goal: Complete my taxes

Last week, my goal to complete was my taxes. Did I finish them? No. I didn’t finish them. Let’s just say I there are a bunch of reasons I have why they where not completed, but none rise above the definition of an excuse. So, I will save my excuses for never.

There is one thing that I love about the fraternity I joined in college and it is their disdain for excuses. The truth is no one wants to hear an excuse and any reason for not completing a task is an excuse. This is still my outlook today. Don’t make excuses, get it done.

I will finish my taxes this week, so they are not going to go back on my accountability list. I am moving on to something bigger, better, and even more important.

This Week’s Goal: Quality time with my boys!

I have two big headed, little boys by the name of Jayel and Freddie 3. These are my little men and I love them dearly. However, over the last few months I think the change in my business, economy, and other concerns has led me to not being in their life as much as I would like.

This week, I plan on reconnecting with them as I have a great opportunity to do so. My wife, Krystal, is out of town for a few days and has been so since Friday. This gives me a great chance to do all the little things that they need to get them through the week, but also gives me an chance to have fun with them and reconnect as well.

I want you to hold me to having fun with them everyday as well as reading with them at night and doing something special this week since it is just the boys. I have somethings in mind, but it is going to a good week.

What have wee been up to?

FT & Boys at SIU vs. UIC B-Ball Game

Well, on Saturday, we went to the Southern Illinois University vs. University of Illinois Chicago basketball game in downtown Chicago. It was great because it was their first time at a basketball game. They won some tickets from their school to go with the school, so it was a really great event. We got t-shirts and was treated to a great game. SIU lost the game 67 to 74, which was a bummer for me because I am graduate of SIU. The boys were pretty happy. We had hot dogs, popcorn, pretzels, soda, and cotton candy to round out the night of junk food and loud noises. It was a great evening.

Other than that, we have been seriously playing some video games. They get a kick out of the old man trying to keep up with them. They don’t realize that I have over 20 years of serious video gaming experience over them, but they have fun trying to beat me. I will admit that in most games, my 9 year can beat me. But if he throws in the old school classic games he doesn’t have a chance.

FT & boys reading on floor in bedroom

Tonight, we finished off the long day of play with reading. We read Freddie 3′s book, “Junie B First Grader”. Although he is only in Kindergarten, he loves Junie B and her big first grade adventures. Here is a picture of use reading on the floor in their bedroom. I love these boys. They are so special and get a kick out literally everything. It is very funny.

Think we will go bowling on Monday. We haven’t done that in a while. They love bowling, plus it will give me a good excuse to hit the lanes. I will be sure to take pictures as well. I need to start a flickr account so I can just integrate my pics into this website. One day, I will get that done.

Who do you need to reconnect with this week? Get to it, relationships don’t work themselves out!

Take this week to reconnect and build with those special people in your life. We work so hard from week to week just to make it. Don’t ruin the special relationships you have trying to provide for them. In these few moments we have on earth be sure to fill them with love and your love ones.

First in the Mind, then in Reality!

Blog Family,

I am writing late on a Sunday night because it has been a long day, yet I must get my accountability in for the week. I feel accountability is what every entrepreneur needs.

Many entrepreneurs go into business for themselves to avoid having to be accountable to someone else. You know that is the polite way to say having a boss all over your back and up in your business. If you have a job or work for someone else, then you are going to experience some of this.

The fact is having someone you are accountable to makes you more productive. It is true. Let’s just face it. To bring out your very best, you must set high goals and be accountable to them.

So how does the entrepreneur get that accountability they need?

They have to go get it. You can get a mentor. This is a great idea. That mentor would be better than a boss because there are there to help you learn and grow. Mentors have been a key asset of successful people for centuries. Don’t neglect the power.

You could network with a group of like minded people that will hold you accountable. You have to network and meet people that you respect enough to work with them and trust them enough to share your goals and dreams with them. Everyone in this group could share the ir weekly or monthly goals and hold each other accountable for their goals. Moral support and not letting the group down can be powerful motivators for you.

Or you can be creative.

The route I chose was to be accountable for a large weekly goal in my business and life. I know this is different, but why not? It is interesting and I know there are people in my Blog Family that will do a great job at holding me accountable. And that is what you need. We all have the potential for greatness inside of us. Sometimes we just need it dragged out of us. You are going to help me get over that feeling.

Last Weeks Goal

Last week, I wanted to write 50 articles for my niche sites during the week. This was a follow up goal from the week before where I only completed 40 articles. 4 0 articles was outstanding, but I wanted the entire fire. So, I set the goal one more time. This time I was determined to hit it.

Last week, I hit my goal. I wrote 50 articles for my various niche sites. I am so excited. I know that each one of those articles are going to move their way into SERPS that can generate traffic. It just felt good to hit the goal of 50 articles.

This Weeks Goal

This week, I have to complete the taxes. It has to get done.

Blog Family,

As you might expect, I have been thinking about goal setting and goal attainment, moving forward with my plans. But as I do my daily and weekly, mental round up, I am forced to notice all of the areas that I have fallen a little short. The goal was a little higher than what I accomplished for the month. That space between what was planned and attained. Does this amount to failure in your mind?

What is failure?

Failure means many things, depending on who you are talking to. Some think failure is not attaining every little goal you set out to achieve. To others failure lies in disappointing other people. Still to more, failure is making yourself look foolish.

I think failure pigeon holds many people from reaching for and attaining all that they could in their life time. Somehow these setbacks, changes in the plans, and differences paralyze many people into not acting at all. As though their lack of attempt isn’t a failure or a set back it’s self. You cannot simply shelve a dream and think that you are playing it safe. You are failing in the worst way because you are not trying at all.

Redefining Failure

As of today, failure has a new definition.

You cannot be a failure until you have given up on a thing and have gain no value from the pursuit.

Since you cannot pursue a thing without gaining some type of value and insight from that pursuit, you cannot ever be a failure so let’s stop thinking of it all together. And if you are still in pursuit of a thing, then it is not over, you have not quit, then you still have a chance of attaining it. Stay in the game.

Failing Yourself to Success

My entire life has been lived with a spirit of adventure, exploration, and commitment to live the dream of an entrepreneur and do it on my terms. At times, this hard headedness has gotten me into some real pickles, but I forge ahead. This is the mentality that is absolutely needed to be an entrepreneur and actualize your dreams, or in this case my dreams. I have to move forward.

I didn’t pass every test with flying colors while pursuing my MBA. I wasn’t the valedictorian, so in the eyes of some I may have failed, but I failed forward. It seems that with every adventure that I have I am able to build upon it and continue my journey. As an entrepreneur, I have opened and closed more businesses than I care to remember. Each one taught me a valuable lesson that carry forward with me to this day knowing that these experiences are the reasons that I am in the position that I am in today.

Today, I own my own business work from home everyday, am there for my family when I need and want to be, and have the chance to go full time on the Internet. Maybe this isn’t the most ideal place to be. Afterall, I don’t have an abundance of money to through around and I could live in a better neighborhood, or whatever. But this is what I have.

Classic Example from my Sunday Accountability #23

This past week, my goal was to write 50 articles for various niche sites on mine. Yes, this was an ambitious goal for the week considering everything else that I had to complete, but I set it anyway. I set it to stretch myself to see if I could accomplish it and get the duel benefit of building those articles for my niche sites that are going to raise my traffic and rankings.

Well, I didn’t reach 50 articles last week. I only completed 40 articles. Am I a failure?

If you would call me a failure, that is fine because the reality is that I know have 40 fresh articles moving towards gaining me more SERPs, search engine rank positions, to gain more traffic and potential revenue for me long term. That is awesome.

Ok, there could have been 10 more articles if I would have hit my goal. That would have been great. But the truth is if I would not have reached for that goal of 50 articles that I knew was going to stretch me, I would have written 15 to 20 articles thinking I did something special. This goal of 50 articles that I fell short of taught me a lesson. The lesson was that when I put my mind to it, I can produce a lot of material for my websites. Afterall, this material is going to lead to traffic and traffic is what I want.

Last Week I Failed Forward

So, last week I failed forward by completing 40 out of 50 articles for my niche sites. This week, I plan to do much of the same, write another 50 articles. This time I am going to hit this goal, but I relax knowing that I am going to advance my niche business strategy and get closer to my overall income goals via the Internet.

I hope you are failing forward as well.

First in the mind, then in Reality!

Greetings Blog Family,

Another week has come and gone. How did you do this week? Did you move closer to your goals? Well, I hope you did and hope you continue to fight forward and make it happen.

Last Week Goal: 50 Niche Articles

This was a great goal that I came up a little short on this past week. I wrote 40 articles for niche sites and fell just 10 articles short. I could have made it, but didn’t for a variety of reasons that I like to call EXCUSES. And let me tell you, excuses are going to get you no where fast, so don’t used them and I won’t either. The best thing I can do, you as well if you fell a little short, is to dust ourselves off and try, try again. If you hit your goals for this week, then good for you, plan yourself a small mini celebration of a cookie or something and GET BACK TO WORK!!! We got goals and dreams to actualize here people.

This week’s Accountability Goal: 50 Niche Articles

Even though I fell a little short, I still added 40 articles to my niche sites that have grown in number, which is outstanding. I purchased a few more sites this week. I have a total of 15 niche sites that I am operating. 7 of the 15 sites don’t have material on them yet or have very little and not pulling in many SERPs, search engine rank positions, but their time is coming.

As I am writing these articles, I am focusing on the sites that are having the most success and slowly building the others by trying to bring them on board as far as making money, which Adsense is the main money maker for these sites. Although, I know own two sites that are solely dedicated to selling original products that I am developing and will be making in to Click Bank products for the marketplace to sell as well. Stay tuned, but one of those products is an appraisal, real estate based educational product, but it is coming. The other product is a secret for now, shhhhhh.

Adsense Updates:

One of my goals is to pay some bills with my Adsense earnings, which is why I am writing so many articles for my niche sites and trying to bring them online as earners. They say content is king, so let’s continue to build and push the content. As for Adsense, I have not been doing bad although yesterday sucked and I only made $0.44, which is going to bring my average down for the month that was getting close to $3 a day. Here are my earnings over the last few months just so we can start to gauge my progress and determine if the writing is paying off or not.

Daily Adsense Averages

December 2008 = $0.97 / day

January 2009 = $1.79 / day

February 2009 = $2.69 / day

As you can see, through the first 7 days of February, the additional article writing seems to be paying off in terms of daily Adsense earnings. I will continue to update these figures so you can watch my progress as we move forward and bring more and more websites online and earning income. The way I see it is if all I have to do is write articles to make more and more money through Adsense, then watch out now cause I am going to be blazing content out like it is no body’s business.

One thing that I am thinking about is using the same simple designs on all of my sites and maybe I need to switch it up a little bit for some of the niche sites. I have been using WPTwo by Adam from Creadiv.com for the majority of my niche sites and I plan to continue using it, but maybe some of these niche sites need to be a little more functional for the viewing public. I will keep you updated, but be sure to check out Adam’s theme if you are into Adsense earnings cause it works.

One of the major things I have since building my Adsense revenue was change my niche sites over to his theme and it is working out as you can see from the increase in Adsense revenues. Hopefully, that trend will continue. It has to continue because my goal is no where in site, but we are moving in the right direction.

As for these earnings, the majority of the earnings are made from one site, Invest With Passion my real estate investing site, and one other that is gaining ground. The idea is to get these other sites consitently earning as well to increase revenue and make it happen.

Closing Commitmment

Blog Family, I know you are going to hold me to my accountability goals of 50 articles and I will not let you down this week. But my question to you is, what is your major goal for the week? Will you share it with me and allow me to hold you accountable? Don’t be scared. What is the worst thing that could happen? You get motivated to reach your goal and get closer to your dreams.

At some point in your life, Blog Family, you must step outside your comfort zone in order to strive for the things that you wish to attain. And here is the kicker, if you would just venture out….you will be successful.

Let’s go get’em!

First in the Mind, then in Reality!

Blog Family,

Last week I made a post about moving on and dropping goal setting Sundays on my blog. Everything was cool and I continued to move along through my week until it happened. And it happened on Twitter of all places.

It was in the afternoon when I notice it. I was focused and working towards wrapping up some January goals and getting things done. I finished something that I had been working on for about two years. The crazy thing is that it shouldn’t have taken two months. I just wouldn’t complete the project. Well I did, on Saturday and let me tell you it felt great.

Before finishing, I took one last chance to procrastinate on the project by slipping over to Twitter to do a little networking and see what is happening. I began checking my @ Replies when there it was. A reply about Goal setting Sundays being discontinued on my blog.

“@thinktaylor You are letting the world down by discontinuing the tradition.” said @dannytv

Danny is good for holding me accountable to things that I say I want for myself. Believe it or not, you really need people like this in your life because they will not allow you to short change yourself. Danny is definitely one of these people.

It’s funny because I really love the accountability of the goal setting and what it does for my performance. I just think it needs to be more flexible, thus it will be. OOoooppss, I guess I letting the secret out of the bag. Yes, I am going to bring it back, but in a different form.

ACCOUNTABILITY SUNDAYS

This is all about accountability. Let’s face it, most people are in need of a kick in the butt to get where we claim we want to go. I am not different. Some days we are slower to roll out the bed, put on the suit, and attend a meeting, conference, or training, but we must.

We must continue to strive and be the best that we can and having someone to be accountable to can be the catalisty to jumpstart you each week. Accountability Sunday is going to be that for me.

The difference is I will not be sharing as much of my to do list. Instead I will be focusing on the higher priority needs and asking you to hold me accountable to these goals. I know I tend to perform better when I am being held accountable. I think we all do.

PARTICIPATION

That is why I asked that if you read these and at least mentally hold me accountable for these goals, then I am asking that you participate. Write your biggest weekly goals down on a sheet of paper. At the end of week, see if you hit those goals. If so great, do it again. If not, do it again and this time hit those goals. If you are feeling it, share your accountability list in the comment section and I will hold you accountable as well.

Accoutability Goal of the Week: 50 Niche Articles

This may seem a bit insane to you, but I am going for it. I will write 50 articles for my niche blogs this week. No particular weight per blog, just 50 total. I have 9 niche blogs that I am working or with others at various times. And lately, I have really been focusing on building my niche sites. This is one of the reasons I haven’t been posting around here very much. I have been business working in the Blogosphere.

Anyway, I want as much content on these sites as possible and I want to pay anyone to do it until I am earning enough of a positive, passive cashflow. That is coming soon enough.

Still 50 might challenge me this week, but it has to get done. I want those articles moving their way to the top of the search engines. The sooner they start their ascension, the better. Besides, I remember days in college not sleeping going to football practice early in the morning, classes, weightlifting, then cramming all day and night for an exam the next morning. I think I can handle writing a few articles.

It basically comes down to how bad do you want it. Let’s be real, Blog Family, don’t all of your goals come down to how bad you really want it? When you strip away all the insecurities and ill thoughts people have on a daily basis, most people know that they can do anything they put their minds to because they are that talented. Isn’t that how you feel?

The difference is how bad do you want it. Now, I know I want it pretty bad and have been through some lows and high points in my life. Writing 50 articles is not a real hurdle to success people, let me tell you. If that is all I have to do, in addition to understanding a few things about search engine optimization and keyword research, is write articles, then this is going to happen. I know that I want it more than just writing some articles. I can pound them out.

Enough talking/typing, let me get to work on these articles now…..after I see what is happening on Twitter.

Let’s get it crack’in, Blog Family!

First in the Mind, then in Reality!

Blog Family,

It is true. This is the last goal setting Sunday I will do on this blog. No, it is not true that I have been doing so horribly on my goals that I want to discontinue goal setting forever in favor of hiding in an Internet hole never to thing about it again. In fact, I have been doing quite well and I will continue to goal set on a weekly, even daily level. I just want to remove it from my blog.

I just feel it is time for me to move on in terms of content on this blog. Besides, I don’t want to be obligated to do anything on a particular schedule as I begin to shift my focus to building niche sites and making them profitable.

Absolutely, I will continue to share what I am learning with you here on this blog. I just don’t want to be tied to anything on a weekly basis. This is the reason for my desire to move to an online business from the offline world. The ability to control my schedule and not obligating myself to anything specific is what really attracts me.

I want to keep this blog fun and open and I will. That is what I am excited about because now I am able to explore different post and information that I have been itching to share with you, Blog Family. Look for it all in the coming months. I like to get it up and get it cracking.

Goal setting

Goal setting will continue to be an important part of my days and weeks. It is through goals that we design out paths to our dreams. I am always at work constructing the path of my dreams.

Let’s move forward into a new day, knowing goal setting is critical and continue do it regularly.
