Balance TV: Eat That Frog, Kill the Crabs

Greetings Blog Family,

Today I want to talk to you about a great little analogy that I have come across and added some juice to as well. The phrase “Eat That Frog” comes from a book written by Brian Tracy where he claims that you should start your day by complete the biggest, most hairy, difficult goal that you have first. By doing this, you will make the rest of your to do list seem short, easy, and attainable. This will give you the momentum to continue through your day and dominate through achievement.

And achievement is the only way you can kill the crabs. You have surely heard of the phrase, Crabs in a barrel. Well, they say these crabs are always trying to hold you back from the achievement and success that you desire. Don’t let them hold you back and pay them no attention. Continue to thrive, achieve more everyday in your life.

I came across this "eat the frog" datum a while ago in Rosalind Gardner 's blog and I found it very useful. Plus, sometimes if I put off the most important task till the last minute I wind up forgetting about it or even getting just too tired to do it.

Anna, I can so relate to what you are saying. If I don't get that Frog out of the way, then it will just haunt me all day. I avoid it and it seems like nothing gets done, so it is best to just each it as soon as you can and move on. Cause the worst is when it has to be dragged over to the next day and throws everything off!

Thanks for the visit and comment. I hope to be way more active over here.

I'm more familiar with the term being "crabs in a bucket" but maybe that's just a Canadian thing?!?

Anyways – I couldn't agree with you more, and to further appreciate your words of wisdom, you should check out this track by Canadian hip hop artist K-OS.. The track is called Crabbucket… and the hook is "no time to get down cause I'm moving up…" Everyone enjoy!
