I did it! I finished the Chicago Half Marathon without bursting a lung, walking, stopping, or anything. It was quite a challenge and when I started on this journey to be truthful I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to make it. I was trembling at the start, but I did it despite my fears, concerns, or the fact that I had never ran that far in my life.
It just goes to show you once again that if you set a goal, put your mind to it, that you can do it despite all the obstacles that might be in your way at the moment. Just keep moving forward.
My offical time was 2:24:57, that’s 2 hours, 24 minutes, and 57 seconds. I came in 9,404th place out of 20,000 runners. So, I was in the top half of the competition and it felt really good to complete the race.
