There Has To Be an Easier Life

Just for the record, I am a terrible bowler that has good games from time to time. Well in two games, I managed to lose to my 8 year old son and my wife the following game. This is a disaster because I usually win and talk a lot of trash. I had to eat crow and let me tell you....I DIDN'T LIKE IT!
Nevertheless, this wonderful day led me to thinking about the day to day life of most people in this country. It is full of deadlines, bills, work, worry, and some fun sprinked in so they don't go crazy. That about sums it up woulnd't you say?
Now, let's be clear. I think this sucks. However, it is the reality for many. I often think of a time when perhaps life was simpler or at least our time wasn't so pressed. Many would say that the time of the people has always been taxed. I wonder.
I wonder is it necessary for this so called PROGRESS. I wonder are all the comforts necessary. I wonder if progress is necessary. I wonder what are we progressing for? Where are we going and what is at the end of the line?
And if it isn't all necessary, then why are we killing ourselves trying to maintain this society? It is obvious that most of us are not satisfied. Yes, we may have some material STUFF, but does that lead to satisfaction of the mind, body, and soul? And isn't life ultimately about the mind, body, and soul?
I beieve that life doesn't have to be so work intensive, deadline sensitive, and headache oriented. I believe life can be about the simple pleasures. I believe life is about family, friends, and fun. I believe the majority of my time can be spent with family, friends, and fun.
The bottom line:
I desire more simple days with the family, friends, and having fun. Free from the stress of bills, deadlines, and madness of society. This desire shall be manifested and the fruits shared with the world.
It seems I am growing increasingly further apart from the major axiom of Western Capitalism that says that in order for a society to prosper, there has to be a poor and down trouden class.
I am growing to dispise this line of thinking. One it is just ridiculous. Two, there is a better way, but for some reason we (reletively intelligent people) think it is a bad idea to help other people. I am not in line with this thinking and will work to rid it from the people.
