Talk Never Wins

Tuesday, July 15, 2008

Ladies and Gentlemen, I want to talk to you today about something that is very important to our futures and the future of our children. This is an epidemic running rampant through the world community. What is this epidemic of which I speak?

Talking. I am sick and tired of hearing the talking, the posturing, the commenting, the analysis. At the end of the day, the only way you are going to win this competition or anything in life is to STOP THE TALKING and DO MORE!

Today, I got up, went to an 8:30am business meeting near Hammond, Indiana, got home about 11:30am, did some appraisal work, ran 3 miles, completed my work, and posted this blog.

Monday, I went to Ballys and got my weight lifting and ab work on. Thank you, Krystal! She work my abs to death, but I want more.

Sunday, I ran 4 miles on the treadmill. That was the furthest I have ran in at least 4 or 5 years. I was hurting, but I did it. I am going to continue to BEAT THIS BODY UP!!!! What are you going to do? Talk about it.

Talking is not going to beat me, the boogie man, or the game of life. At some point, you have to stop talking and put some work in if you want to make a play in your life. Afterall, if you don't want to make a play, why are you in the game?

I am reminded of one of my favorite quotes:

"What your doing speaks so loudly, I can't hear what you are saying." - Unknown

Wow! Doesn't that just say it all. If you were to look at what I am doing, you will know exactly what I have been up to. Look at the picture. What do you see? SWEAT & WATER!

That's right! I have been running, working out, and drinking water.

Stop talking, put some miles in, do the studying, take care of your body and excel!

WHOSE GOING TO MAKE A PLAY?

I AM!
